I think the idea is solid but the seasons themselves need some work... how about lots of different leaves and fall (or autumn to us on this side of the pond) type things like pumpkins etc and winter themed things at the top... I think the trees could do with being abit more involved too like leaves falling off the trees at the bottom and topped with snow at the top?? just some suggestions.
