glad it's over!

finally, after about a little over 4 years, i FINALLY finished my MFA degree today (well technically, i graduate next spring, but i was given the green light)

feels real good to finish something i started

my degree was in illustration with a focus on graphic novels and while there were tedious moments, i can honestly say that i've made huge improvements in techniques and an over-all approach to art

woooHOOO - now time for bed

congratulations!

MFA in illustration with a focus on graphic novels is pretty much exactly what I'm doing...
how was it?!

thanks! it was tough to be honest, but after i got my head around certain concepts like world building and focusing not only on the art but the story as well, it went a lot smoother

how far along are you?

I officially finish the first semester of the first year tomorrow
:D
so not very. but my school just introduced an illustration program that's sort of a blend of their drawing, printmaking, and communication design faculties...so my class will be the first to graduate with that major.
essited :D

thanks mike

wow congrats on your first year!
that's pretty cool to blend in different disciplines - it sounds like it'll be real useful when you're done! good luck!
