but this wasn't this printed before 2006? And aren't those halftones on the chicken's body?

yeah, halftones were used, and those aren't that bad. i just think designs can be made without them!
^agreed... i think it's more about simplicity in execution.. flat colors!!!

i would say preferably not... if you use an 800x600 size i think you could easily fit all you need?

This is what was on her blog...I thought they must have thrown out the 640x480 size that you guys talked about before cause it doesn't say that anywhere...

I think I'm going to follow Chengui's example, just so I can show the info I want to... otherwise, if we must have it 640x480, I have the smaller version I can upload.
That shoulda been mentioned in the spec. Not the end of the world though
i think they introduced the long template later (07-08 i guess)
i guess the presentation size might just be tough for threadless to manage. i still say design for 640 x 480 if you can. it can be done!
flash presentations have been around since day dot.
why not flash?
it refers more to the fancy flash presentations these days (which requires the larger file sizes allowed now), but, i think it's easier to just say no to all flash?
Dangit guys - I wasn't trying to stretch the rules :( I misunderstood what you said earlier Sonmi.
If everybody is doing 640x480 I'm all in, I'll try to email later today and get my current pending sub pulled I guess. But sinc eit's not mentioned in the official rules I'm sure there will be lots of longer subs which means they will probably have an advantage to scoring from the general public.
Obviously it can be done, but with everybody so used to flashy presentations it will definitely garner a little less attention.
i don't think the longer presentation is a big deal. it isn't in the rules, so i'm sure others are going to do it 640x800
I know - I just like the idea of doing it 100% old school and I could have pretty easily used a shorter template by switching stuff around... :(

Rachel switched it out for a new 640x480 file I sent her but it looks like the original is just squished to that size....I'm thinking it's just updating maybe.
What size restrictions are there on the design itself?
I changed template myself and she just deleted the old one, maybe you could do that if there is a problem with submission...

There are only three restrictions posted in the rules, and none of which has anything to do with presentation size. Am I missing something?
It's not an "offical" rule from Threadless but the original blog had it as one and a lot of us are doing it as a hcallenge to really go back to the older restrictions.
i've subbed one too...my first sub as well!
any feedback will be great - would have liked to have put it through critique first, but doubt there will be enough time for that.

There's about 6 different versions of this one, only 3 are shown in the mock up, the favorite combo being pink on brown:
Pink on Brown
Seafoam on Kelly
Blue on Turquoise
Blue on Denim
Fuschia on Lavender/Light Purple
Mustard on Gold
Can anyone tell me if this "Is that a banana?" is over sized and what the size limits are especially on the lower edge.
roger--yeah, i think that banana would be outside the 14 by 14 inches and therefore oversized.
Where are the limits specified? Is the 14x14 square in a fixed position on the shirt?
Ok, I thought I'd give it a go, at least if it is oversized for Less is More it can still be in the running in general
hmm, my submission for this challenge was my first submission so didn't quite understand the 'oversized print' concept...hopefully my design is within the limits!
I'm curious how many designs will be subbed for this one in the end? My guess would be around 100.

It would have been nice if threadless had the going up spead out just like regular designs. It makes sense to do it like this in a regular loves comp, but now, with a 1 week timeframe to sub, it means 95% of the less is more designs get thrown to the voters in one big barf.
belekas - yours is a definite contender I believe!
