How are artists compensated for re-use of their graphics for wall stickers? Are they given a percentage of each sale made?

Threadless needs to hammer out a fair licensing agreement for graphics and design created by users.

Frankly, the current agreement is hugely unfair for artists. In other words, it sucks. For Threadless to claim copyright to all designs instead of a limited-term, limited-use agreement, and then re-use graphics in any form they see fit (I'm assuming without additional compensation) would be completely at odds with all ethical guidelines as set forth by the AIGA, the Society of Illustrators and the basic business practices of large licensing agencies. This is not how it's done in the real world, kids.

but yes, i think $2500 is fair for a few hours of work which i am not entirely attached to. i'm sorry that you feel otherwise, but don't understand why you're subbing to threadless if you think its licensing policy sucks.
