The Threadless Community
The Joy of Text is one of many great ideas that has developed within the Threadless community. Whether in the critiques, the blogs, scoring submissions, or commenting on the printed tees, the proof is in the threads that we are certainly one of the strongest, most supportive network of designers and tee-lovers out there.
With support from
Wacom
Wacom is all about helping people interact with technology in the simplest, most human way possible. Whether you're sketching, drawing, or working with photos, the use of a Wacom pen tablet or interactive pen display will give you the control and precision you need to fully create your vision.
Blik
We're blik and we have commitment problems. Or so we've been told. But it's okay, we've come to terms with them. As a matter of fact, our company is founded on these deep-rooted "issues." At blik, we produce inspiring wall graphics that can change the look of your room in minutes. And because we know moods change, we make all of our graphics as easy to remove as they are to apply. Which works out well, because like we said, we don't do the whole "commitment" thing very well.
Stop Smiling Magazine
Stop Smiling is an arts and culture magazine founded in Chicago in the mid-Nineties. Each issue follows a theme and consists of feature-length interviews, essays and oral histories. With a focus on preservation, Stop Smiling has published some of the last in-depth conversations with Kurt Vonnegut, Robert Altman, Lee Hazlewood and George Plimpton.
Veer

Come to Veer for design essentials and well-designed accessories, including Veer Exclusives you won’t find anywhere else. And for extra inspiration, connect with other creatives in Veer Ideas.

Following two successful runs within the community, and through the tireless efforts of users martiandrivein and staffell, we’re now proud to fully support the third installment of... The Joy Of Text! Your challenge is to create and manipulate text in a way that it becomes the design, rather than just being a part of it.
Your awesome textual design could net you an opportunity to design two upcoming TypeTees, a Wacom Intuous Tablet, some great Blik gear, a super prize pack from Veer, a huge lot of Stop Smiling magazines, AND a wealth of community donated items!! If you have something to say… DESIGN IT!
The purpose of the submissions relating to this promotion is to create a stand-alone design inspired by the challenge, not a brand tee. Your design should not have brand names or logos on it.
