Congratulations on your first print! It's well-deserved.

Your work is unusual for Threadless in that it appears to be collage work. Where do you get your images and inspiration from?

I'm really into retro futurism these days, I really like the combination of vintage elements with modern and futuristic colors and shape.

This design has a way of expressing solitude and the emptiness of space. Even if the bike can be an entertainment and seem to be fun, there is something about this piece I feel is really sad.

Have you ever created collage off of the computer? Why is digital your medium of choice?

I like to work off the computer but I don't spend enough time with scissors and glue. I will certainly try to work a little more off the computer for my next artworks since I really enjoy working with my hands.

Sometimes, my computer can be so distracting and take all of my work time when what I really like is most of the time made by hands.

What do you do for a living?

I am a music teacher in an elementary school but this year, I took the year off to start my t-shirt business. It's hard to find a way to make something new since everyone these days are selling wicked t-shirts. I am taking my time in order to find a great idea that could be different from everything we see these days.

Sounds awesome! If you couldn't create artwork, what do you think your creative outlet might be?

I'm working on an album with my band called Edna. We are currently looking for a label but our album is already produced and we want to push it to the top.

You can hear 3 songs here: www.ednamusik.com

What does your personal artwork look like compared to work for Threadless?

Maybe a little more sketchy, a little less funny, a bit more artsy, but still very cosy...

If your artwork had a sound, what sound would it be?

A mix between a 56k modem and a female robot singing in a vocoder.

Thanks for chatting!
