Hello there, and how are you doing today?

I am doing very well. How are you doing Charlie?

How did you get your start in design?

My mom is a graphic designer, so I grew up with it all around me. I've been a visual artist my entire life, and started out in college with a fine art focus. At some point I got nervous that I wouldnt be able to make a living as a painter, and my mom suggested I check out design. I switched colleges and majors and ended up learning how to use computers. Now I do design, as well as art all with a mouse and keyboard.

What inspires your work?

All of my creative friends and the feeling that my life is going to be way too short.

How does it feel to have a design selected by Threadless?

It's been such a pleasure to get my designs printed. I feel very lucky to have been invited to do 2 shirts...

What do you plan to spend your hard-earned cash on?

Im remodeling a 100 year old house right now, so all of my extra $ is going to paint.

Do you have a certain process before starting a piece?

Before I hit the computer I already have the piece made in my head, and then I have to go through the slow process of actually making it. Im working on a system where I plug my brain directly to my computer so I can skip a step.

You now work for threadless.com how did all of this come about?

Ive know all the threadless dudes since the company started, and have of course always kept a close eye on all the amazing projects & products they've been responsible for. Last year we teamed up to release my magazine (faesthetic) and offer some Faesthetic curated select T's to go along with them. Earlier this year I followed up to see if they wanted to partner up again, and in the process I was offered a job! Now I curate the Select line of shirts, as well as work on a variety top-secret projects.
