Hello there, and how are you doing today?

Groovy. Just groovy.

How is your life, anything exciting going on with yourself?

Life is good, but nothing particularly exciting is going on. I'm painting my house, and though that's perfect example of unexcitingness I'm having to climb to heights of nearly 30 feet on a ladder that's past its prime. I'm certain there are kids in the neighborhood who could reap momentary excitement by witnessing a hapless guy clutching at the air as he plunges to his death..

Fuzzy D & D

How did you get your start in design?

Working for a screenprinting shop, which happened to be one step ahead of the law and its creditors. It's where I first began using a computer to create art and the whole experience was fun and formative. Until I stopped getting paid.

What inspires your work?

B&W movies, 1970s comic books, Lewis and Tolkien, the Northern Renaissance, and other stuff which is difficult to identify, all of it being among the bajillion things concerning which I waste a lot of time.

Kanji Kake

Read any good books lately?

Though never destined to become one of the classics of western literature, "Star Trek Movie Memories" by William Shatner was a fun read about a subject for which I have a soft spot by a man for whom I have a nerdy appreciation. It's fascinating to know that office politics permeate all joint human endeavors, and when such an endeavor involves creating a flick said politics get pretty weird.

Do you believe in Sasquatch?

I can answer that two ways, either bluntly or the way some people want to hear it. My unpopular response: Of course not! Our insatiable desire
to replace every square inch of greenery with blacktop topped by department stores, hamburger stands, and coffee shops isn't exactly a new phenomenon. We'd have smoked out the hairy folk long ago. My popular response: There's a little sasquatch in each of us!

How does it feel to win on Threadless?

Modgirl

Feels like a million bucks (which is $998,000 more than the prize)!

What is your favorite item at McDonalds?

Bottled water. I'm no health zealot and can certainly appreciate a meal that might fall under the category of "junk", but Mickey Dee's has lost
all attraction for me. I mean, Burger King flame broils and also serves onion rings.

What do you plan to spend your winnings on?

Likely a little music, maybe some new shoes, and definitely a share for http://www.worldvision.org
