So Much Publicity! A Way To Get Referrals...?!

by nadienne / general /

i was at the local anime convention (YEAH ANIME NORTH! WHOO!), and i was wearing many tees those three days... the classic "ah munna eat choo!" and "rub me on your butt!" being the most recognizably popular ones... everyone was asking me where i got them from, and it pained me to tell for two reasons:

1: if i told them, then more people will know! aaah! then there will be less shirts for meee! aaaah!

2: if i told them, i would not be rewarded by doing so, because i could only give out the general url, and not my streetteam url... which would have been oh-so-useful (at LEAST 30 people said 'nice shirt', or something along those lines or stares, and out of that thirty, almost every one of them wanted to know where i got the shirts).

this brings me to me idea... business cards. yes, threadless business cards... but not really. Im a design student flunkie, so i've got the skills to make it... just not the patience to follow it through, haha... but i opened up illustrator, snagged some threadless logos from the promo materials, vip vip vip'ed with some fonts and witty-but-stupid slogan-type thingers, and voila! something that i can print off onto cheap printer paper and carry around in my wallet for me to give to people...

if i wanted, i could shell out the few pennies more and get them printed on more weighted paper to be more professional... it's all psychology when it comes to selling... the better the paper feels, the more likely they're gonna hold it longer, feel it, look at it, and overall remember it.

im thinking... i should prolly put some templates up so people can take them, print them off, and just hand-write in their username. hopefully y'all have nice printing... for those with the l33t skills, you could open up illustrator and just type it in... the not-so-leet would prolly open up photoshop, or MSpaint... but i don't care.

this is alot of reading... im sorry... but if you're interested, let me know! i can send you what i have, or if you want me to make you a card or two for you to do whatever, lemme know! free of charge... 'less you wanna buy something offa m'link! wink-nudge!

i have heat rash. in my armpits. point and laugh now please.

Dc Nerdy Science People (Attn Zesus)

by ianrose / general /

Particular those interested in climate change and/or just interested in science, there's a conference going on in DC on June 5th. It's being put on by the National Geographic Society and is on melting ice. I know there's a lot of DC area people (I'm looking at you, Zesus), and its a good issue to be informed about. Plus, its being put on by the Norwegian embassy, so there's going to be tons of salty candies.

Put An End To My Dilemma Please!!

by bhoomika / general /

So I can't seem to make up my mind.. if I should really get the Etcetra Hoody ... I like it but I know the colors aren't that bright ... so I might be disappointed when I order.. so I m trying to think not to get a hoody at all this time..and just wait till winter...

so tell me. ... or i guess reassure me that there will be better Hoodies than Etcetra or should I just go head and buy it?

Ugh! I have been debating for quite a while now....

You should check your email.

Also, I went to your profile to look for your aim name, but you either don't have one or you don't want to share it with me. Boo.

Just A Quick Question Regarding Stp

by Leis / general /

Say you are putting in an order of more than one shirt, can you get the points to go to different people for each shirt?

And also, how exactly does it work? Like, if I go onto threadless through someones link and then put a shirt in my shopping cart is it putting it in there ready for the points?

I'm just a LITTLE confused :-)

Abstraction!

by jpiatt / general /

I don't know if that's a word...but... I started drawing this today. No idea if it'll ever end up in a shirt design here. But I think it's looking kind of cool. It's barely even started, so it probably isn't that cool. But, neither am I :D
