I need to re-do the monster so he looks halfway decent, but I think the smashed rubics cube looks pretty good.

If anyone has any thoughts I\'d love to hear them, thanks!

if you could include the little inside core to show how the cube is connected, it would be cool. for now, it just looks like pretty squares smashed.

great idea though :)

I really like this, i was going to do the same sort of thing but with peeling the stickers off, but you beat me to it! Maybe you don't need a monster, just a hammer smashing the cubes? Might be more dynamic?

Ya know the core is actually there but you can't really see it because it's black...but that's a good point and maybe I should try a different angle so it's more obvious. Thanks for the advice =)

hoth there was actually a design with the peeled stickers at one point in the past, but if i remember correctly it was a pretty crappy illustration.

I've had one friend say the same thing about the monster, and then a few other people thought it would be better if the monster was frustrated. I think i'm going to stick with him being happy for now but thanks for the input=)

Ok, cool, if your sticking withe the monster, the happy contented monster you've got would be better than a frustated one. Looking forward to seeing the next version

I think there's a scale issue. the cubes are too big and I didn't recognize what it was supposed to be. Looks like he just knocked over a kid's building block set.

jasper thanks for the input. i was hoping that by not making the character a human i could mess around with the scaling, but maybe this is a bit much.

In that case, the monster could become an animal that would match the scale of the cube.

Small section of the cube still intact to show it was a Rubiks

thanks wish-ga, there actually is a partially intact cube (the white/red/oreange part), but i think i need to separate it more from the rest of the cubes so it doesn't blend in so much.

Jmaster626.... I didn't see the intact section. Thought they fell in a jumble. You are onto the right stuff. Go gettem'

I have a problem with the perspective. The scattered cubes look nice-- like they are on a flat surface. But your monster moving away is not on the same plane. Too 2D. Also (and I haven't counted), make sure you have the correct number of cubes. Nice idea though-- funny. Great title too.
