good god that's beautiful. my vote for placement is lower left or right. agree with Petanca about the wings, also imo they look strange where the light and dark lines meet. otherwise this is rediculous, wish i could draw like that.

nope im 27...this is my neigbors account. i just started doing designs with him because he could draw well and i thought my ideas were good. he kinda gave up on it and i kept on, but i wanted to stay with the account since we'd already subbed some stuff to the critiques section. thanks for the compliment though.



texture the wings i guess. or make them more like typical dragon wings if the texturing ends up not looking good.

I like the drawing. Wings let it down though. Redraw more uh wing like. I guess with scales? I also think the wings look a bit too contained, maybe try breaking the balloon shape a bit there.

Brett, this is amazing with unique style. I think if the wings moved out of the balloon shape, it would break the concept...which I'm guessing is "escaping the first balloon, into an imaginary surreal balloon". Perhaps you could make the dragon wings scaley in the lower part, but then fade into your surreal balloon pattern...kinda like the dragon is partly in both worlds?

this is pretty sweet. i think the dragons head could be a little bigger or something, because it sort of looks like a stump at the end of his neck at first.

i don't think the wings need to be very textured to go with the rest of the drawing. maybe i'm wrong...

but i would suggest trying a boney frame of some sort, with webbing, much like that of batwings. because if you break the balloon barrier AND add texture, it might overpower the subtle details of the rest of the design. it's beautiful!

The head could be bigger, and what the wings are missing is some detain, everything else has the dashed shading, and the wings are plain, but deff an awesome design! I'd rate it a 4 right now.

Inside the wings, the outline of the strips--why change those from black? IMO it looks weird, even if it is to add depth. Keep yellow lines on the outside and black inside.

awesome concept! reminds me of never ending story

This looks really really good. Awesome drawing and great muted color pallete.

I understand that you're going for a piece that will make people confused about what's "real" and what's "drawn". kind of like an M.C Escher type thing. But, I feel that the technical exercize in perception is coming at the expense of the drama of the man hanging on to dear life while the dragon stands on the baloon snarling at him.

If you'll just draw an amazing balloon and dragon, which I'm sure you can, it will make the danger element stronger and more readable. it will work better on a Tee and score higher.

Of course you can also go the other way and lose the drama while focusing on a brilliant exercize in perception. right now I thing the two things weaken each other.
