OK, y\'all, this is my first try on Threadless. Please give me your best thoughts about my confident fisherman design. If I made glaring errors let me know about them too.
it's good, i just feel that it needs something to set it apart from other designs. maybe give the fisherman more emotion? make it so that he's struggleing with the bobber; or his phone rings with his boss on the other line?
it seems very out of proportion. I don't understand why the bobber thingie is so big. Is that a whale tail @ the bottom? or a water spout?
I feel like the whole design is too spread out, maybe clean it up & condense it to a smaller viewing area. Just seems a bit busy the way it is now & hard to figure out where to look. I like the idea....keep going :)
Thanks for the comments. very helpful. I see that the idea isn't as obvious as I thought it was.
My idea was if he's fishing for really big fish, he needs a really big bobber. the whale tail was meant to show that he's about to get a bite.
On reflection, I also thought I might have a big fish on a great big stringer at the back of the boat, and lose the whale tail. or perhaps some big worms in a tin can in the boat, to improve the clearness that the bobber is really big. I kind of like that.
Thanks!
