Hm, I think the cheese needs a shadow. Heart needs to be bigger. Eyes too, maybe, more leg deatil?

added a spotlight and shadow, made the eyes and heart a bit bigger and added more of a foot and hand shape on his limbs. getting better?

Poor little dude... I'd wear him. Maybe a bit smaller, and smack in the middle of the chest. If he's tiny, he'll look even more isolated.

Maybe he/she could be holding, or looking at a picture of another cheese, a cheese whom s/he will never have.

Also, the dotted spotlight looks pixelated. maybe make the edge solid, with the light cone being a much lighter shade of the shirt color.

Also, the tears look a little strange. they generally come from the inside corners of the eyes (at least in people), maybe you could add sad lower eyelids instead, or in combo with a tear or two.
