I thought this would be kind of funny... I saw someone submitted the idea before, but this is my own interpretation of... Purple Monkey Dishwasher.

Oh yeah, for those of you who are like "wtf?"...

Urban Dictionary defines Purple Monkey Dishwasher as - "a comical nonsensical interjectional use... appropriate as comic relief or as a tension breaker"



Which I feel is perfect for a T shirt.

Ummm... Is this design worth pursuing?

It's also the result of playing telephone...on the Simpsons, when trying to insite a teacher's strike, they ended up with purple monkey dishwasher at the end. Good stuff.

Its a funny picture, but I wouldn't get the reference and I don't know too many who would either.

Yeah, it's pretty obscure... but is it mainstream enough to actually continue refining it and get it ready for submission?

his hand/fingers look funky. and more detail in the vegetable and apron would help. cute monkey.

I really like this design and would really like to see it completed and submitted. I love the reference and the monkey is so cute!

his hand needs work. it looks like he only has two big fingers. the little flap of dishrag seems odd to be coming out between his fingers, maybe move it to the right side of the hand.



Oh, i just realized that both hands are in fact visible. you should add some detail in the gloves, or a line separating the left and right glove, to give some distinction. Really cool design though, better than the other PMD submission. keep at it.

Haha, Simpsony. I'd say that a background might give the design context. Maybe have a sink with a massive stack of dishes and one of them checkerboard floors or something?

Its a good drawing, and nice to see the use of purple more in a design. Id say maybe the way to go foward with this is to add a few more visual metaphors, like cat got your tounge, or a bird in the hand in worth two in the bush. Its nice you explained what purple monkey dishwasher means, but most people would not instantly get it, and there would be nothing else to hold their attention.if you added others, people would stick at it for longer. and then maybe ask you what the monkey was about, and then you have your ice-breaking line tshirt!!
