I was thinking perhaps the thumbnail should be reworked and focused more on the dopelax rather than a dubie.

wikipedia is an amazing site, but is not even close to a solid source of info... marijuana is connected to the hippie culture but then again the true sense of the word hippie is a far stretch from any liberal smoker you meet today, and its sad to think that people actually think you have to be a stoner to care about the environment, i am saddened by this design because of its obvious ignorance, sorry its nothing against the art, more so about the concept

the design looks at first glance to be a creature in a Dr. Suess type world smoking and thinking, "I love a poorly drawn cannabis leaf"



which will bomb (prob. in the first day) i can tell you that with 100% confidence, there is no room for this stuff on threadless, even cigarette designs get bashed into a bloody pulp

my advice as a designer, sketch up 30 more ways to show this concept in small thumbnail format until you come up with something with no pot reference hahahaha, sucks i know but i honestly cannot see anything but negative comments... keep at it though

that is interesting, I myself am not heavy into the drugs if at all but I still love the entire culture associated with drugs which a lot of the people on threadless do aswell. I think after I fix this up regardless of your good points Ellss, I'll submitt it if only to see how people react and to test out your theory (which actually sounds accurate)

You're also not going to do very well making fun of any group of people on threadless, either. Unless you're making fun of emo's, of course. But that only works when you draw incredibly adorable cuddly little emo bears.

im not making fun of any demographic, I -am- idolizing a particular culture though. Even if some people consider it to be "poking fun" at a certain group, I am more than sure said group would not only be untainted by such a proclamation but revere in jest its stereotypical roots, as most groups do.

I was backpacking in south america and western asia for a good portion of the summer, and as you can probably tell I`ve been bored lately lol.
