This is my design so far. My idea was for an army vs a single person in a water fight. The tank is a squirt gun tank and the helocopters have giant water balloons. I have a lot left to do but I just wanted to get some general feedback.rnrnThanks,rn- Kevin

Haha. Nice idea so far. I would change the pink balloons to blue, they kind of seem out of place in that colour. Also, have you thought about having a little boy holding the squirt gun as if he's ready to take them all on? Then it sort of looks like it's him vs. his imagination. Just some ideas, it's great so far.

Thanks for the input. I like the idea for him vs. them all, I was kind of thinking of making him soaking wet as if he never had a chance. I have tried having him hold onto it too, I will put that one up once I make changes so you can see which is best.

This is brilliant. Is it a reference to that famous picture of the guy standing in front of the tank in japan? I don't know the story behind that picture but...any way I really like this. Maybe change one of the balloons to a different color open the design instead of having them all be the same color. Then again you could totally submit this as is.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I put the gun in his hand and changed one of the balloons to mix things up. I think I might change the kid to somebody embracing the battle, as in kneeling aiming the super soaker at the oncoming army.

Thanks for commenting on my shirt. I think maybe you need to play with scale here either making him smaller, or the military vehicles bigger so it seems more overwhelming. Right now he's taller then the tank and kind of throws things off for me.

I'd bring him closer to the tank, with him aiming the soaker at the tank, maybe have some water drip out of the tank. Not sure about the helicopters.

hahaaa! :D Thats really funny! The dude with the water gun looks a bit not excited about this situation in my opinion. Could show some more action.

Also, I think it would get a better score, if there would me more going on on the shirt
(firefighters, spitting, elephants, having a chain of people handing the bucket to eachother, or something like that)

It's a water war! I like this. It might some army dudes and another couple of tanks also make the kid wear a cap to emphasize his age.

I'm about to submit my design but would like a final say, critique please.

I made a few changes, mainly the change of the boy. I am still working hard and have LOT left but I wanted to post an update. I may make him hold a gun or load a mortar with some water balloons. I am also working on a girl standing next to him. I also know that the scaling is a little off. I am designing this in a landscape for some other purposes and I am trying to transition it to the tshirt as well. Any comments at this point?

Oh, I see what you're trying to convey here. It's him versus that entire army. The "water fight" aspect was conveyed well but the "versus" element needs some work. Here are a few suggestions which you can take or leave as you see fit.

It would take a lot of work, but it could pay off...
What if you put the entire design on a 2D plane? By saying that I mean, the army on the right side of the shirt facing squarely left at the boy. I think it would show more style as well as portraying the concept in an even stronger way.

Another option would be to have the boy centered and the army facing away from the viewer, seemingly approaching him from off the shirt.

And yet another option (which may be the best, now that I've thought of it) would be for the army to have completely encircled the boy, and the perspective being at a slightly elevated viewpoint from a distance.

Also, I would rework the design of the boy. He seems too generic for this kind of concept. I would try to make him look much younger and more innocent, yet brave as he hold his super soaker.

Here is a closer image of the opposing forces. I added visible water in the water balloons as well as add a tube inside the tank. I will be working on the background and child later.

Great idea. Maybe adding tracks from where the tank has been would add some depth to that element of the design and give a nice vanishing point to the overall design?

Looks like this has come along nicely. Probably not a bad idea to lose the kid all together. As far as the name goes, that's a tricky one. Water War? Drenched? Thirsty? Haha, I have no idea.

Actually I just thought of another idea that could be funny, what if you had a little tree on fire or something and called the design Overkill? Either way, cool design.

I'm not crazy about the background. It doesn't seem to line up with the style of the helicopters and tank. The rest of the design is so top notch though that I think it would be worth the extra time spent fixing it.

That being said, I'm not sure how I would go about that. If you keep the city, a water tower might be a nice touch.

I really like this design! And I like version 8 too, the water towers are a little much they'd probably work better if they were smaller and didn't say water on them.

This is pretty RAD!

For me there are a few too many helicopters. The tank looks perfect. The city in the back ground is a different style and doesn't work for me and the hills 'roll' a little too much. I think the idea is great and the tank and helicopters look awesome.
