Nice concept!

It was a little unclear to me, when I first saw it, that this was peanut butter and jelly sitting on a piece of bread. I think some more detailing might go a long way with this idea. Give the bread a stronger perspective or add some shading to it maybe.

Oops--I forgot the "PB" on PB's lid. Hopefully, it is now more quickly recognizable as PB & J. Thoughts?

Cute, If you add some reflections to the jars ( I assume they're glass) and some shadowing this will really pop. Also the angle of the bread could use some work and the bread could use some texture. I didn't realize they were sitting on bread at first. Good start.

It's good. But you may want to give it a thicker outline for some of it. And maybe give that outline a particular texture. As though it were drawn with chalk, or crayon, or something. Like the outlining they do on 'Foster's Home of imaginary Friends'.

Made some slight tweaks based on all the great feedback--added some halftone shading to the bread and the crust, lil reflective section on the jelly, changed the color from gray to creme, added an overall texture, and rotated it so the angle isn't so severe. Also changed it to a kid model, as that's more likely the target audience. I've shown this to parents who have flipped out over it. Thoughts?? Thanks in advance!

i'm not even sure you need the "PB" or "J". The "J" looks good, but the "PB" doesn't quite seem to fit. other than that i like it.

To what the commodore said, maybe using a grape graphic and a peanut graphic would be enough to communicate PB & J.

The eyes on Jelly concern me... the left one has that line in the corner... Hmm.

I might suggest a little thicker line on the top of her right leg, and maybe around the characters and also around the bread. The inner linework is very nice. I LOVE that they're sitting on the bread slice, hahaha. It's like a honeymoon.

on first glance I thought that peanut butter needed something else in his design to show he is peanut butter. Also I noticed the imperfection on Jelly's eye.

I agree with commodore that the PB does seem a little off and that the J looks really nice. i think 9mm's idea is good to add a peanut graphic.

Thanks again all. Pretty sure this is the puppy I'm going to submit. Created a peanut logo on PB's lid in a baseball cap style (replacing the letters "PB"), fixed the stray black line on J's eye, and toned down the texture overlay. What do you thing? Go for it?
