That's a great idea!!

I think that all you need to do is work a little more on the astetic of the design, fix the hose a little more, and you should be good to go!

The line work needs to be worked on a little bit but this is a really cool idea, i like it on the blue more than the yellow as well.

This is very cool! The only suggestion I have is, maybe change the white to some other color. Check out mine if you have the time.

You should make him painting something cool, like a starry sky or something. People won't buy a tee that's just a dude painting it, they want weird and maybe metaphorical

I was thinking of having him paint the cloud on the sky, so I may add more cloud!!!!

Agree with ColeAndJosephine about the spray paint can. I like the concept a lot, though I think it might look even more awesome with the red paint (the shirt color) being actually black. Or the other way, that he's painting black on white.

The linework could be a lot cleaner, less messy. And use variation in line thickness to enhance depth, otherwise it looks too technical. And make sure the painter is anatomically correct.

try placing the guy centered in the chest airbrushing the shoulder cloud and hiding the hose in the left sleeve, nice concept!

hi tager, I like this idea but the problem is that the background and the foreground have a different vantage point. We are looking down on the guy but up at the sky.

Maybe the concept should be that he is actually tagging the clouds and have a ladder coming up from below and the guy throwing his tag up on a cloud..

Also work on the guy, he needs to be a unique character for this to work. Thank you for your comment, I submitted my design today!

I agree with the comment about the vantage point it makes the composition look unbelievable. Sort of like when you see a bad green screen on a sitcom. Also maybe you should try playing with the light and shadows on the figure so that it looks like he is in the same environment as the clouds. But I really like the idea, once you iron out the details it could be really awesome. Would you mind taking a look at mine?

Reallly dig it in the black. There's just something about the guy's stance that bothers me, although I know you don't wouldn't want to redo the image, I feel it might look better with him more bent down.

I also think that the style of the clouds and the style of the man are really contrasting, maybe make him more realistic like the clouds or vice versa.

When I first looked at it I thought the guy was painting a picture of the sky on the ground, which I thought was cool. Maybe the guy could have headphones on or something to give him more character.

I like him at the bottom of the shirt like version 1 and as others have already said there's too much of a disconnect between him and the clouds. Somehow that needs to be dealt with.

I like the idea of different art styles, him crisp line art and the background blended photoshop work but that plus the vantage point issue is too much.

The character wearing a black shirt is a missed opportunity for some detailing. That said, it works when the actual t-shirt is black. The cloud forms a nice silhouette defining his body. So I could go either way on that. I think that's just a personal design choice.

The painting tool could be more iconic and easy to read, a spray can, a brush, or a better defined paint sprayer.

All in all good stuff. Keep working it.

Glad you tried out some of the suggestions but yah, v5 is closer to where you want to be.

He's looking awfully squat in a stiff pose and the paint cans/tray probably aren't needed.

Don't be afraid to ignore advice if it's not working for you. I'd hate to see someone take something I suggested too seriously and ruin a good idea.

what about an extendable roller with blank spot on one of the shoulders.... great idea and design!!

I agree with others that v5 is the best so far although I think the drawing of the guy is better here even if he does look a little stretched. The lines and shading are more descriptive here. Maybe put a subtle shadow under him to give a clue that he's standing on something or change his posture so he's spraying upward toward the sky.

v5 was better but I think the hose looks awkward. I would suggest changing it to a can of spray paint.

Nice idea. Needs some work. Maybe if you had the guy dramatically painting. What I mean is almost completely outstretched with the roller. Just to add some more movement to the image.

I like this guy much better! I think you're almost there!

In my opinion, I think I would to see more of the guy's lineart. From the image it looks pretty thin, if you give him thicker lines it will make it look more polished. I think you should still come up with a theme here, maybe you could make it look like he's spraypainting space, make a whole bunch of galaxies and stars on that little area. or something else entirely that's more of your interest. If you do those two I believe you'll be ready to go!!

i like the concept alot, and the shape of the painter, but i dont like his clothes or the colour of his clothes,
maybe play around with it a little more? also i dont raelly like the shadow, maybes its the angle, idk, try taking it out all together though? Take a look at mine?, I could do with the comments :D

I agree with dogzin, give the kid some colorful clothing (he is a painter, painter's love color). I like the shadow on your last version the best, maybe play around with the opacity a little.

I loved it like it was in V7 ! - no clouds, no stars, only the guy painting the shirt.
The shadow is very well done in this current version, though!

i like the stars and the shadow... the style of the guy might be a little out of place.... maybe you can try reworking his lines, making them vary (less of a continues outline)
