You could try a light water color just around the boat, and the octopus arms. Though, I really like it.

maybe invert it? so instead of white lines on black you have white shapes on black. Colours? Perhaps brown, boat, bread and bag. purple is good for the octopus. or maybe green? the apple could be red or green.... err hope that helps. oh and I agree with SugarCookie, a third tentacle would be cool. neat idea and design.

awesome!!! maybe show the octopus head with a sneaky smile on it? it works really well as it is though. i vote Blues/Browns/Pinks for the colors.

You shouldn't show the octopus head, that loses the effect! I love it how it is! I agree. +color=submit.

work in the fisherman a little bit more - the legs and arms seem a bit skewed. i find it a little strange how the ripples around the boat don't go all the way around - because the front would be a heavy end since the guy is sitting at that end. but it's great art - have a go at colouring it, but if it doesn't turn out right then i think it looks fine as it is already (with no colour)

More colour, anything people have previously mentioned - then make the arm look less squashed, and you've got a good design on your hands

I lol'ed. If you could have a third tentacle reaching into the bag, that would be sweet, but it's still funny like this. The fisherman does seem a bit squished. I'd use a navy shirt, with lt blue, tan, dk green .

Yeah with color it would definitely make it a winner. That, and I think the arms should be redrawn... the fisherman looks like he was dropped as a kid.

I was going to say, 'Add a third tentacle, reaching into the bag on the boat,' but jancola beat me to it. So I'll just second the notion.

Also, I definitely think it needs colors, because mere outlines doesn't do any of it justice. Fill in all the visible objects, and put some very light blue on the water ripples, then put it all on a medium-dark blue shirt (which can serve as all the surrounding water).

It might also make better use of the available space if the tentacles originated from a point lower down on the shirt than the boat.

And for the love of God, do NOT add the octopus' face (particularly not with any idiotic smile). The tentacles alone are quite enough.

I agree with Kizoku - no face, no face.

Blue jean or possibly navy as a t-shirt colour?

I don't think it needs any more ripples, and I like the style of the ones already here.

I like it just as outlines, it looks a bit like a colour by numbers, especially the water.

I think it would look best not fully coloured in, i.e. just highlight certain areas with quite muted colours (blues and oranges? Like a deep, deep orange for the apple, two lighter oranges for the octupus and paler shades of the tshirt colour for the boat maybe?)
