El Capitan of the ship doesn't know what he's up against. I'm a super evolved, hyper-dimensional K-9 that can travel faster than the speed of biscuits. Discuss!rnrn

I'm not completely getting the sense that the dog has seized the flying machine. instead, it looks like the machine is flying off with the dog. Perhaps a sense of environment behind the pair of them?
I'm so running out of time for scoring on this so please help! Good news is my new submission is up and I'd appreciate your help on that too. THanks a bunch!! |

i think i would change the perspective. maybe make the dog bigger and the spaceship smaller. the dish of the spaceship bigger then the rest of the body. i too don't get the feeling that the dog cought the spaceship :)
PS if you have the time, please help me out and critique this http://www.threadless.com/critique/72225/the_head_in_the_sky thanks |

very nice!
i think after cleaning the lines on the enterprise, it will feel more like he cought the ship...because right now those lines gives a moving feeling to it, which makes the dog looks like his hanging for dear life:) this is very good! can't wait for the next version!:) Please score my design: Bearminator |

Hello Kit on Jul 15 '10
Yes, same idea.
the moving of the enterprise look strange. VOTE FOR MINE PLEASE! THANK YOU !!! http://threadless.com/sharedesign/285646/Vampire_HotDog |

Sorry for bumping my own critique but I can't find it in the forums. For some reason it just didn't show up on the queue, so I'm checking to see if it's some kind of woops.

Cool drawing, cant suggest anything. Maybe make the lines ship more defined.
Could you check this out. Thanks http://www.threadless.com/critique/91875/Hip_hop_robo_buggy_bot |

gogoalexgo on Jul 27 '11
You could go over the lines in illustrator or something but to be honest I like the lines as they are, it depends if you are happy with them or not. Maybe you could add some blue highlights to the dog and ship . . . other than that I have no real suggestions. Great drawing and idea.
Crit please! |
|
Mr.MacGuffin on Jul 27 '11
Haha, very cool. Like the style. Don't really have any suggestions, but I'm not sure about the title. I might try to come up with something different if I were you. Just a suggestion. If I think of something I'll throw it your way.

this is an incredible design! I love the grainy effect around the ship. it took me a second to realize that the ship was in the dog's mouth, so maybe it should be moved into his jaw more? but it's a pretty minor thing. I think you're ready to submit, otherwise.
help me with mine, if you get the chance? http://www.threadless.com/critique/92394/Earth_conscience |

I tried submitting the previous one but it did not go through because the file size was wrong. Suppose it's for the best. Now I've added some details but I have to make this less than 5 colors, so I guess I still have a lot of cleaning up to do. Sucks, cause I thought was done with this design but I'm having trouble getting it lined up with threadless shirts. Does any one know how far across the shirt I can take the design before it becomes a belt print? Anyways, let me know what you think?

In the process of making the colors more solid.

till then, comment on mine :) License to Kill |

Dorell on Jul 30 '11
Ooops! Forgot to mention. Also in the process of cleaning up, in case someone mentions all the noise in the background.
|
|
virgindog on Jul 30 '11
Great concept! The scale of the dog and disk are off a little though. The disk is too big to be a frisbee compared to the dog, unless it's a very small dog. Is it too late to make the dog bigger or the Enterprise smaller?
|
|
Dpearl22 on Jul 31 '11
I think a little less noise behind the ship would be better, it becomes a bit to lost. I also agree the size of the dog could increase just a tad. I'd like to see what this would look like on a shirt design.
If you can find the time I'd appreciate your comments on Cat A Pillar |

me and the devil on Jul 31 '11
Uh, that's a really good one. I like the latest version. But I think the perspective of the ship is somehow twistet. The right warp nacelle seems to point down compared to the rest of the ship.
And I like the noise. You might try it on a shirt template to see if it makes a good background. |
|
0II0II0I on Jul 31 '11
I think this looks really good. Now is just a matter of working with the placement of the design on the tee.
|
|
jonsuguiyama on Jul 31 '11
You should work the perspective and the dog design (front legs look weird) and all that noise on the background.
I'd work with only 3 colors, making good use of the tee color. Show us it's placement on a tee! |
|

me and the devil on Aug 02 '11
That's weird. I just checked to see if you updated and thought: oh he did change the perspective thing. But then I saw it's the same version and realized that it's like Mona Lisa's smile. The longer you look at this right propulsion unit the more it seems to point down. Or I'm just cross eyed :)

Dorell on Aug 16 '11
Thanks for the input guys. Honestly, I've known from the beginning that the perspective would be all wrong. If you notice the front disk where the bridge would be located is completely different from the rest of the ship. I had to blend the two perspectives together to give an interesting more appealing image. If I did everything strictly based on perspective, it would end up looking like a blueprint. I didn't want that, hence the distorted warp turbines. I am trying to get this down to three colors, I've just been busy with work and what not. To everybody who placed their critiques, I promise to look at them this week.

Whew! Getting a design ready for a t-shirt has a lot more to it than what it looks. I've managed to clean it up some but i still have to figure out placement.

Cool idea, I find the autovectored triangles distracting and don't like the white cloud (?) in the top left. Great idea and composition however.

Final one. This the one that\s going out. I'm done. If it doesn't get picked, then it doesn't get picked. I'm making a flash presentation and putting it up here then sending it into rating oblivion. Wish us luck.
