this is my first time using a critique ('in my day, we used to simply submit a design', ha), so i'd love any comments i could get. i was especially wondering what everyone thought about the size and placement..thanks!

Those trolls scare the crap outta me... those gems in their bellys... those are the twinkle from the devils eyes.



I dig the basic design, and the placement, but I want more colors! ^_^

I originally kept it green because the ones I had always had one bright shade of hair, and I wanted to keep it all 'hair'.



If I added more colors, how do you think I should go about it? I think it would get chunky if I just did different strands different colors.

I think this is great. Awesome design. I don't really know how you can go about adding more color to it without losing the "hair". Maybe placement could be shifted to go around one side of the shirt? I like it the way it is though. Great job.

The color scheme so far kind of puts a dark tone on the design, which may or may not be a turn off to the Threadless audience. For color suggestions, Kuler and ColorBlender can be of great help.





Also, it seems to me that the troll looks too much like the troll doll to be of comfort to the legal staff at Threadless (if they have one). It may need to be toned down in order to get it into competition. It seems more replicated at this point rather than parody.

i wanted to put as much detail as i could with such a simple style and keep it recognizable, but of course i see your point.



and actually, i already use kuler, ha ha. my problem is how to execute the color, cause i think it might look shoddy with just coloring different chunks, so i was thinking of maybe putting a pattern underneath the stroke, like a really faint paisley or something. thoughts?
