maybe you could put little reddish bits on the sauce for it to look more saucy. :)

yep, still have loads to do. like adding shade on the spaghetti and shoes, also some shine and texture on the shoes. also need to make the sauce inside the shoes indeed more saucelike. want to add some sauce drops on the spaghetti as well (or not?).

ahahah... being from Italy I couldn't resist leaving a comment to this ;-)

actually the version with meatballs looks a lot better (though you will be surprised in knowing that actually here it is not so common to have them with the pasta, at least not in most of Italy)

... leaving this little nationalistic note of mine apart, this is a great illustration!

i started with a version without any meatballs, but illustration-wise it's indeed better to add them into the dish. but fun to hear how it's commonly eaten in italy :-)

cool design , definitely improved from V1. The only thing i could say would be maybe try doing a 1 tone cast shadow around the bowl instead of the smooth gradient , just because everything else on the the design is flat tone. Idk , try it out maybe :)

the shadow is a "quick and dirty" one... i'm not gonna use a gradient indeed. have to experiment a bit what looks best.

reworked linethickness, changed color scheme and added tomato sauce.

any suggestions about adding stuff, colors or other remarks?

maybe a small bright yellow crime scene number next to the plate?

the sauce in the shoes does not seem real enough, although you did most of it right.
what's missing is maybe some variation in the red area. can't really explain it.

agree about the sauce in the shoes... it's indeed not quite right yet. i like the meatballsauce tho, so i'm going to rework the shoe-sauce like that i think. and this is just 6 colors, so maybe by adding another color i can make the sauce better. also the pasta needs some shading on the plate/shoes

lightened the texture on the shoes and added shade to the pasta itself. i think i have to rework the sauce inside the shoes (make it more sauce-like), but it's nearly finished i think...

This is great! I agree on adding more sauce to the spaghetti and making the sauce inside the shoe more chunkier. About the shadow under the plate, is it the same shadow as v4? because it looks better in v4 or maybe its just me. haha. hope this helps.

is it possible to make all of the black outlines around the paste to be the darker shade of yellow?

Interesting concept. Have you considered including any silverware like a fork and knife?

i was thinking about adding a shoe-spoon, or a yellow crime scene table number... but really want to get the plate ready first, before adding stuff... the dark pasta outlines bother me too, maybe i could use the darker color of the meatballs to make them softer. only used 7 colors i think, so i could always add the right color to do the job :-)
