I still want to polish it a bit more (the fireflies have just been copied/pasted/resized, etc. for now) and also try to add a bit of GITD feature to it, but this is close to how I envision the final design..

Wow! It's really good. As a Coheed & Cambria's fan, i love fireflies of every concept. End it, then submit! I don't have any additional hint or idea.

I think the glow around the fireflies is too hard.. other than that I like the design :)

much better than your first version. the forest in the background adds a lot of depth to the design.
for some reason, i see a robot arm with lego hands trying to reach out to touch one...but that's just me.

great halftone work this is.... nicely done!
only thing is that the fire fly-glow looks handdrawn while the robot is much more rigid.
maybe rework the halftone of the glow that it will fade away better into the dark night.

I love the title. It's perfect and you should keep it. I mean, how else could you describe the shirt? It's just... a robot and fireflies. It sounds like the name of some sort of demented still life.
