I really wanted to work a ball bath into a design. I played with this idea and took it a few different directions, but I ended up with this one. I know the average voter doesn't like the seckz on their chest - so I made it modest and kinda glam and 1950s and used a Marilyn Monroe type character. Anyways - let me know what you think. Cheers.

i'd like to see her arm draped over the near side of the tub.

and see her revelling in the luxury more. Right now she is looking looking off to the right like she's flirting with someone across the room. How about if her head was more thrown back and her eyes closed?

if you stick with this, add some lit candles to the room. it would give you some ambiance.

Thanks guys. Thats what I did originally brigligg - but that look it too modern, and frankly, it looks like she's pleasuring herself. And that's not going to fly with the voters.

Maybe make some of the balls different sizes and with stripes like beach balls.

I like this a lot, maybe an old school technicolor palette? Like a Breakfast at Tiffany's movie poster. Nice work so far.

I guess because there is nothing to really 'get' here - it will be judged on it's artist merit - so the process and the colour are important.

Yeah, I think brighter colors to make it look like a ball bath will make this a home run.



The angle and modesty choices so far are perfect.

I think adding a little dog by the tub in a begging posture would be really groovy. It could help add a little more to the "concept" that you were talking about.

or you could take this sorta dark and have the bathtub walking like...with claw feet haha i dunno those type of bathtubs always make me expect to see them just get up and walk around

For some reason, I think it would be funny if the balls where the little toys you get out of a 25 cents machine. And you have a little coin slot on the side of the tub and some guy sitting there turning the crank with his fingers crossed hoping she'll come out as the toy. Conversely the balls could be the things they have a chuckie cheese and some kid is doing a cannon ball into the tub. Then again, I'm used to your other designs that are more funny in concept, but you seem to want to go with a more artistic approach to this one. Give it some color and see how it turns out.

Just an update on the sketch. The arm definitely gives it a new dimension. I've got her kicking back with a glass of wine. I really don't know where this is going - :-/

This is slower than I thought. I've had to divide the illustration into sections, so that the ballas in the ball bath are infront of some objects, and behind others. It's more complex than you might think! The markers indicate the different levels. It's coming along...

it's impressive how you plan it... i have had about ten more sections than that on designs, with no planning, i just gradually go along until i realise i'm fuckder and fuckder by the second...



then i just leave it for ages and occasionally finish the design, but usually just end up seeing you do something similar but better:)

My only crit at this point would be to say that her face was slightly smoother in the sketch. The hard corner on her right cheek makes her face look a little more jagged and I think it loses some of the coyness somehow. Hope that makes sense.

Something is bothering me about her calf behind her knee, I thought maybe it wouldn't be obvious once the balls were in so i didn't say anything before but it looks like her calf is wider than it should be and the thigh has the illusion of being a lot slimmer than the calf. ( only on the leg in the air.) I hope that isn't too hard to change at this point.

i think you need to make her left arm rest on the side as well. i'm pretty sure she's getting up to something under all those balls.

I agree about the leg, it should taper back to a point just below the knee and then open up fuller into the thigh. Aside from that I see that you're out of colors but maybe a little halftone shading would help if it can be accomplished. And leave her left arm where it is. It's nobody's business what it's up to.

I really like this, tho i agree with the comment way way up about there being a cute little puppy with one of the balls in its mouth, slavering all over it.

I don't think the glass of wine is necessary. It distracts.

I wouldn't put so much detail in the feet of the tub, at least not in black. Maybe you can do it in the flesh tone and make it less linear so it is less prominent.

I'd search for more harmonious colours for the balls, and I think I'd make their highlights larger.
