What's wrong with the text?

eheheh, very nice concept...BUT, you have to work on it!



first, on the placement, imo, center the globe, not the whole design, it looks unbalanced.

then, dig the krusty incrustation idea, and add some shadows...

anyway, it's beginning to be very cool ;)

my english betrays me sometimes...you play with the illusion of krusty's face uh? i think you should dig the idea, adding other details, and even adding shadows, lights effects to give the design more graphic impact.

Watch out for the color count, though.

I'd say you need to make those details, like the hair and the bow tie, more instantly recognizable, more in your face.

How about something like this? For the color scheme?

The lines a tad thicker should work better.

Better worse? Trying a new colour version.

I don't want to add textures to anything because that's not how simpsons characters are drawn

haltone is blerrrh, I think because simpsons doesnt halftone it makes it just seem odd

I think the halftone looks a bit wack, but I don't have any way round that randy :/

I think V2 is better.



It a bit of like op art, the "face" can pop out or dent in and I think that V2 makes it dent in better than V3.

I'd bring back the text and the shadow from v2. I like the different color for the bow tie.

V2 looks best so far. Like RO said, The Simpsons doesn't ever have halftones. Just colour it in with a slightly darker colour!

I guess you're not running with the clouds/atmosphere idea for his hair. Brilliant idea BTW!

Guys, I can't use darker colours because I run over the colour limit then, the halftone is necessary I'm afraid.

Just drop the half toning then. It looks awful and the rest looks so good!



You could try a gradient?(black) but it would have to be very subtle to keep the cartoon look.

I think the half tone looks worse because of screen resolution. Same deal with gradient, it won't fit into the colour limit. I'll find a way around this, don't worry!

I think no shadow at all would be more pleasing

I found a way around the colour limit - removed the dark red, by moving the core to the front (so it protrudes now!) Changed the creme to a white and used the gold as background colour

I would be interested in seeing the original colour scheme on light blue, with the blue being the tee colour I am not feeling the yellow tee personally and I think the light blue would relate to the simpsons better like the intro of the show with the clouds and sky

maybe add a sorta "halo" around..like the orange circle on the Krustyland logo?

but i might be just an extra with no so deep add on the design.

like randyotter said, i am not sure of your new color scheme, because first one was really more related toKrusty's one...



now i would try to make Krusty's face easier to see. The piece of green which is the bow tie should be blue, well, at least not hair color, because it distracts from the original Krusty.



then i know it's not so easy, but it would be nice, to see a bit of his mouth/tongue like we always see him in the simpsons...nope?



i mean, your concept is ecellent, but you must work on it again to be sure to go with a nice score ;)

Yes, you are right jebs, this still needs definite work - I've had an idea for the mouth, I'll put the shadow on the bottom part I think.

On reflection, I thought I could have added in some kind of itchy and scratchy moon in the backgroun. Or something, but it's too late now. Plus it's quite solid on its own...I didn't want to go overboard on details because of the subject matter. Thanks everyone! Up voting later today.
