Actually, I was going to say you should stylize it all like the piranha. That'd be more original in my opinion.

The style definately needs to be consistent, but it could go either way. My gut says pixelated fish.

After refelection, I prefer the juxtaposition of styles...I can see that it needs something else though. Maybe I'll ass one of the fireballs coming from the PP's mouth.

No. Really. It need work. I like the idea but the plant have Pixels, the piranha no. Draw a Pixel-Piranha and connect it better to the plant. Maibe the Mouth of the plant that is Like te piranha face but green, and just add the tail on the back.

Work on it, is a nice idea!!

now, the fish looks too big for the pipe - maybe make the stem a bit bigger and the fish smaller?

I agree about the stem and the fish. Also, the little red/white things are kind of confusing to me. What are they supposed to be?

I think the little red/white things (kitty) are fireballs. Agree with the size ratio, needs a bit more tweaking.

@ like illustration - honestly, it was a case of manually overlaying the original illustration with pixel blocks...quite time consuming actually

I'd say lose the blue on the bushes - it isn't really needed

I had to redo this again with large pixels because by shrinking the first pixellated piranha, they shrink too small and are no longer consistent with the pixels of the plant/pipe/other stuff. :/

This is great. I think if it had Mario flying up there trying to avoid the pirahna then it would be perfect. Love the artwork.

Because you did the fish then shrunk it down, the pixels on the fish are now the wrong size.



I'm not sure it's working as a concept for me - because it looks like a creature that might actually be in Mario and isn't really an abstract pastiche of the game. yagetme?
