This b/s sketch is directly inspired from Ice Age 2 haha. I just thought I'd get this up here before I did any work.



His empty hand will be holding something glowing (green?). What, I don't know yet.



I think I'm going to try use some halftones on this. We'll see how that turns out haha. Definitely will be on a halftone backdrop whether I shade with them or not.



Opinions + direction greatly appreciated.

I hope it doesn't sound too cheesy, but I really want him to be holding a glowing earth. I think that'd be sweet. I want to wear it, anyway.

yeah, i think it would look cool on a black tee. with lighter grays. and the glowing earth is a really good idea : ]

show us what happens with his legs.

As for the legs, I was thinking of making him ...uh ...spectral or something. Mist instead of legs. Something like that. Could be lame though. I might just go with the tried, tested and true legs. I've obviously petered out below the waist though haha. So yeah, we'll see what happens.
