It was rejected so I decided to completly rework it. Any input is greatly appreciated :)

But I feel that a lot of people here will think the whole middle finger thing is a bit too much.

nice i really like it a lot..very well done design with great color choices...even if the middle finger is a bit much you could use the same design just in the fist form

Great style but right now it's somewhat conveying "Fuck Peace", with that sign on the tip of the middle finger. I'm not sure that TL will print the middle finger, might be why your first design was rejected. Maybe try the first finger pointing the way or the "Rock On" sign?

Hahaha, love the concept, but I agree with guister, Im not sure Threadless prints a "middle finger" design. Try with index and pinky maybe? or index?

Nice! What kills me though is that, while I fully agree with the previous comments about the middle finger, it does give the design a nice dynamic quality when combined with that black diagonal that runs down the middle. I think you could change it to the index finger and still preserve that nice movement, but I'd imagine you'd need to resize and re-place it slightly. Definitely worth trying though, since the gesture's proving to be a turn-off for a lot of people... myself included. You've got some great pattern work and depth going though! Hope I helped!

Ok so I changed the design of the middle finger to incorporated the title more and not to play down the peace symbol. I thought about using another finger other than the middle one but I just feel it would take too much away from my concept. Let me know what you guys think about this version. Thanks for all your advice so far :)

i like the changes and i really like the design work and the slight tilt of the fist gives it a nice look.



some things did confuse me though. when i first opened this page, i looked right at the design and not the title. i interpreted it as saying "f u digital" which is fine, but according to the title and the fact the design is made digitally, i dont think thats the message you're trying to portray lol.



perhaps replace "digital" with "traditional"? or maybe remove the middle finger altogether and make it a fist. im not sure where "digital" could go though. maybe get rid of it totally? but that would defeat what you're saying. hmm...

It's a play on the commonly known and seen revolution fist, I raised the midle finger to change it for a new generation plus all us designers get a little agressive at the keyboard from time to time...

Sorry "change it for a new generation" sounds a bit pretentious. What I'm going for here is the retro look of those old revelution posters i.e the people, the face, flowers and fists etc. but adding a new spin on it with the middle finger raised.

I like it a lot! The "updates" of the middle finger and subtle imagery throughout the hand work very well.



And revolutionaries are never pretentious. They're too moody for anyone to call them that to their faces.

lol @emixer on the moody comment. so true. i think it's a fun design. very retro. it doesn't offend me personally, but i've noticed there's some fragile frankies on here that might poo poo it.

I like that a lot. This retro hand and the star - in combination with "digital revolution" - that one rocks!

Nice design! I suggest you only teo things: maybe it will be better with a bit stronger white side dish, and I think that the finger with the word "digital" needs to be red like others, or it seems to be too much different from the others elements!

I understand idea, smart. i dont like white lines around all thing and around all hand. maybe try to put little bolder line only around hand. you have mixed drawing styles... work on this because idea is great

Love this but why not just have a fist. Many people will not purchase the shirt because of the middle figure. If you keep it I would put some red in the background. It looks less like a figure and more like the hand is holding something. The design work is outstanding!
