LOL! Love! You nailed the cap, kicks and board colors, maybe an orange and black vest to add another color cue for the viewer? (though you may need to use black for the line work to harmonize) You might be able to make the vest a jacket and just have some feather tips coming out of the sleeves to further strengthen the reference? Anyway, great idea and the illo is looking good man =]

haha, i actually like everything about this except for the gradient cap. Some shading on the chicken's feathers would help, if you don't want to completely color it in. Maybe have a wing out like he's balancing on the board instead of just standing nonchalant?

I like the concept but I really think you need the orange instead of the magenta pink color. I also don't think you need the gradient on the hat but that's just an opinion.

Maybe a gradient cap more like the real one would be more recognizable?

pretty cool. the linework could be a little cleaner and i don't love the colours, but they're not bad.

ok, what if it was an Orange shirt and you then added the green to the print colors in place of the orange which would then be shirt color. That would have the jacket and chicken both being orange. Think it over for me. ;) I like orange shirts.

i think the shoulder cuff is too wide on this one. you should find a compromise between v1 and v2. and also, maybe make the wing feathers more distinct from the body feathers behind to make the image less flat.



also, perhaps give the whole design a thicker black outline, to define the body more. from a distance, or in small view, the chicken sort of melds into the shirt, with just the hat and vest jumping out.

Something about the wing that comes towards the viewer, gets a little lost in the other feathers. Maybe just a little bit more shading/definition to give some depth?

It's almost good to go. The only suggestions I have are to add shading to the feathers to give the piece greater depth at least equal of that to the clothing. From far away the feathers kind of blend in with the shirt.

ahaha that reminds me of back to the future when marty mcfly uses one of those hover boards to get away from whatever those dudes names are
