each little group seems disconnected from the rest. like they're stickers on a yellow surface, rather than an integrated group. maybe it's the extreme shadows? try to integrate them so that they all appear to be on the same surface.

also, the backwards sign at the top is too much blank space. and the "Feed" "Us" signs don't really make sense to- wooden pickets don't eat.

Yeah the space could be more well defined. maybe some overlap.



You got some pretty expressive gestures considering they have no faces.



I agree the fireman should me in a more similar style/coloring.

how can i make them look connected? i feel stummped??? should i just eliminate the firefighter idea??

Make some elements closer, so they are perceived as groups. The firefighter looks interesting but a little out of style of the rest of your design.

Im guessing this is political, in the sense of people not choosing a side. Either way its tight. But id definitely liven the fence people up. Personalize them, because they all look the same, relatively.
