Nice, but you're going to have to add a little something more. Give the wave a white crest, the volcano a craggy slope, some additional white caps in the foreground, etc. Definitely keep at it, just make it more detailed.

i love this, this is adorable, but i agree with pvt. skittles, it needs to be more detailed. but a great start indeed!

I Stared Too Long

I like the idea, and agree with the previous posters about detail. I'm distracted by the detail of the sun/ash/cloud. If the texture matched that of the wave and volcano, I think the design would feel more cohesive.
