The only thing is the owl looks kind of weird. The wings look kind of strange.

this is nice! There are many things that are working. I like the line quality in the tree, the twist and turn of the tree, the owl and it's location, as well as the dry brush branches on the very top. It seems like you could really take this to so many places--or it could even be considered finished as it is. I personally, like to see more of the loose-ness and freedom that is expressed by/ in the tree, and therefor feel rather grounded/ heav by the well/brick structure at the base--eventhough I see its connection with the whole scene. you might like to look at some minature paintings/ drawings as well as some chinese and japanese brush paintings in reference to the tree and getting ideas for finishing the composition. I like the owl as it is.

I'd like to see some more branches on the left side and a more loose placement of the leaves. Great rendering! I wanna see more!
