Ian-S on Nov 26 '09 Man! That is crazy. I'm liking it a lot already on v1. The only thing I'm not so keen on is the smoke below the mask. It's a little too strong for me. I'm going to be keeping an eye on this on.

Thanks for the honest criticism on mine.
I like the density of the smoke, but I do agree that it's too distracting - maybe make it a shade or two darker? The mask itself looks a little bit too "Nacho Libre" - I suggest a bit of a color reworking to make it look less like a wrestling mask. I also don't really like/get the speech bubble on the left.. not sure if that's necessary. Is there a message being portrayed here or is it just art? If there's a message, I don't get it. If it's just art, I don't know if it has broad enough appeal to be on a tee. I really love the design though - you're very talented and I'll be watching your designs in the future. Cheers. |

I agree with Ian, the smoke looks more like shaving cream than smoke. Water tends to "stick" each itself, and splatters often have "waterdrops" at the edges, like your smoke; smoke fades in wisps. It's hard to explain with words, but smoke shouldn't have that strechy-sticky look to it. Also note that smoke rises and and you have a lot of globs that point downwards. And The skull on the left has rabbit teeth.
It's a pretty cool idea, I would totally buy a gas that resembled a luchador mask. |
