This was actually said to me by a tutor looking through my art book in a university interview.
I don't know if he was taking the piss or not, but I didn't get in.
Not good enough for art school and probably not good enough for Threadless either.
Here's one of my efforts.
God knows why he thought tapestry was my calling.
nah i was checking out your site, reading your poetry and looking at drawings. you're on the right path:) you're an artist, now keep those self deprecating comments in yer noggin and let the art do the talking!
i like this one alot honestly. i like shirts that people will ask "what does it mean?" so i can just smile and continue my day. critique wise, the hand on the book is a little wonky but i think that the surreal vibe of the image makes it ok. do you plan on messing with color?
Thank you.
I just knocked this one out really quickly.
I haven't thought about colour yet and I agree it's a bit wonky.
Just getting impatient with threadless and feeling like I don't fit in.
This is an old drawing so if people like the idea then I'm more than willing to re- draw, but I honestly couldn't see it getting printed.
