I like it! Maybe make it more like an icon or something -- some undergrowth/shadow or something to indicate the bottom of the oval "alpha male" starts.
i think that its a little plain for threadless. people hate on shirts that look like they could actually be bought in a store, and thats exactly what this is.
i don't think it's biting enough. there's a famous bit of footage where a low-ranking ape finds some empty oilcans, realizes they make a tremendous noise, and terrifies the rest of the group with them, thereby achieving a very high rank. i'd love to see a satire along those lines. an ape riding a harley? (how to capture the noise...?) an ape with a big stereo in his car?
ya didnt change the idea, ya just added a maybe 2pnt. stroke of white on the outside and changed the font. people were saying, me included, to add something else to the design. whats the point of going into the crits if u don't take the advice given?
At the risk of sounding like a jerk I would say that the overall idea is just not very good. It smacks of commercial tshirts like from Kmart. If you want to go with an Alpha male theme, take it back to the drawing board and draw some sort of scene where there is a gorilla somehow asserting his dominance over the other gorillas. Make it humorous like he's got the remote to the television or something. Threadless users seem to really not like text on a shirt, opting instead for a design that conveys the message without words. This is a global market, maybe someone who speaks French would like to know what's going on with the tshirt.
this one's just too confusing. the gold chain looks wrong, the tooth is in the middle of nowhere. Like someone said before, maybe put in the face or the beast.
