can you clean up the lines a bit? and maybe contrast the colours a bit more too.

which lines? the white bits? 'cause I made it grainy on purpose.

oh snap, someone went from "needs work" and changed to "don't submit." burn.

i dont like the grain, to be honest. it makes it look kinda pixelated, which people here will probably tear to shreds (there are some real pricks). The idea is sick tho. I'd add like, a neck tattoo, or something to really make him a rudeboy. idk, i really like this idea tho. maybe try some other color schemes, too. the image, regardless of color, will register as a coin, so play with it!!

Not really a v.2 -- just the detail I think some people might think I'm lacking; it only looks pixilated in the smaller version with lower resolution.

I also got rid of the off-white coloring, so it's just 3 colors now.

i still wanna see it in some rude colors, just to see if it works.

this is definitly your best work! I like the tattoo ide that was suggested earlier. And how will the colors work on a shirt? Should it be just one coin, or more a Andy Warhole shirt with different heads and colors?

But yeah... I think this is pretty neat. If you did a warhol-esque placement with the colors it would make for a nice shirt. The sort of... overbite thing the guy's got going on is somewhat off putting, but otherwise I like it.

He was kissing a balloon -- with the coin I ripped from teh interwebz, the woman had her lips kinda pursed... it's funnier that way.



I also shy from a tattoo since

1. not necessarilly "punk" -- there's no 'neck-tattoo' pervasiveness in the culture

2. it's on a US silver dollar, I doubt a tattoo would go on there.



However, since it's not submission-worthy as a coin, I'll bend my will and try these suggestions.

I like the yellow and the orange. Could you not put the punk on a British coin? It looks more like a UK punk, and 1979 was really when punk took off in Britain.



It would be cool to have a proper UK coin with the Queen's head on it facing the punk...

I changed the date to 1971 to be more appropriate. the original coin was 1879.

Hell, I still don't drink tea!* Also, I was never really into that whole Sex Pistols thing. True most punk is from Europe -- maybe I could do one of those Euro-coins then?

Or, you could have a US punk on a US coin sticking his tongue out at a UK coin with the Queen's head on it - that could be pretty cool.

Yes, it was a joke, sort-of. People around here can get hyper vigilant about their patriotism. Also a throwback to the Red Scares of the 50s. It wasn't meant seriously.

What about giving the punk a few piercings, maybe on the nose, eyebrow and along the top of the ears. Might make it look that little more punk.

I feel such an amateur!.... strickly speaking punk emerged in and around the London area around 1976-77..so woundn,t have a 1971 coin..but hy! this is t-shirtland after all.
