I saw something like this doodled on a piece of paper. I thought it might look good on a T-Shirt. I think I like that the design is really basic and simple. I think that's sort of necessary for the stick figure pun.
I think it's a bit too simplified. You could probably try replacing the stickmen with lego men instead. Also lotsa people don't like text too much unless it really adds to the design. I think what you're going for is similar to 'cat got your tongue' by andy gonsalves. You need to try and get the design to visually represent that text alone. I think 'I got your back' is gonna be a bit harder to do without the text though
It's a funny idea but I agree with ChrisDB about the style of the men. It needs a bit more design and the text needs more work as well I think. Try putting it below the men.
Chris took the words right out of my mouth. It's a really great play on a figure of speech but I think it would be great if the figures were more realistic and the image told the story without text. Keep working on it!
Dude, I don't know how you would execute this without the text. That sounds like bogus advice to me. I think you should sub this, it's simple but it's effective. When I showed it to my girl friend and her roommates they were all like - Awww, cute! I know I'd buy it. I don't no why there's got to be so many haters.
I like the simplicity. I would say keep them simple stick figures. I agree about putting the text below the figures....and change the font. Maybe hand draw the figures with a fat marker like stayteoftheart said, and then hand write the text too.
I think the figures should be a little closer together...they are supposed to be friends, aren't they?
As a girl, I would also suggest moving them either down or up, so as not to draw attention to a certain chest region...if you know what I mean.
I think you need the text as well. Like the simplicity. Maybe have the text under the stick figures. Play around with some different text and see what you come up with. I think it is funny and I would purchase it.
