Something I think about whenever we get rain in November.



My first submission! Please let me know any thoughts/comments.

you think about your guitar and church? maybe make it one detailed picture, displaying your mood instead of an equation. you could easily include all the stuff shown here.

Hmm. I think about the electric guitar solo from 'November Rain' by Guns 'n' Roses.

You sure have the talent, but I think you should do something better with the concept. The equation doesn't work for me.

Also, try of changing the style of the cloud, maybe fill him with grey. The calender doesn't fit as well.



Do some brainstorming. Good luck.

Not being familiar with the pop culture reference, it's hard to critique... however, some more stylistic unity would be nice. For better visual flow, maybe have the equation all in one line?

The calendar is kind of essential. Without it, it's not 'November Rain' anymore, it's just 'Rain'. Do you mean it doesn't fit at all, or it should change its appearance?



The idea is the (I thought) very famous scene from the video of the song 'November Rain' where the guitarist (I think it's Slash) does a big guitar solo outside a little chapel in the desert.

I like the concept... maybe the color scheme could be better? I'm not sure about the brown/burnt orange for the silhouette.

I might try a version where its all in a line. The placement of each piece seems off.

lol, this is all over the place. How about you just have the word November sitting on or made up of clouds with rain and some guitar lightning falling?

how about having slash in a rain jacket and boots and being completely drenched, with the cloud above him raining down?

Thanks Southwind. Do you have any suggestions for different colour? I really love the rust colour with the blue... but is there another you think would work better?

Black, but then you'd have to change the color of the shirt, or add a (white?) defining line.

Cat's Nightmare

It actually took me a few seconds to get it... even harder probably for those that aren't guns and roses. This probably makes it too niche to give it a good chance of printing though.

have you seen some of the niche things that get printed?

maybe i should lose the video reference (slash playing outside church) and just go with the calendar and the rain, no plus. so it's 'november rain'... hmm.

thing is i'm not even a guns and roses fan. but i know that scene is incredibly famous. I've been really amazed at how few people know of it, but there you go

hey!! :) i got it straight away and had a giggle, i think it's really good, i thought maybe you could make the silhouette a darker version of the blue on your calendar, that way it ties in a bit more, as right now your eye goes straight to slash and bypasses the equation.

I really like it though.

and i like the straight line version :)

unfortunately i don't quite follow it.. is this a guns and roses song? maybe? not sure.. maybe clarify it a bit. So far its good. try to add a bit more depth though.

Can the church be a little larger, to even out the contour? The sizes of the three objects aren't very continuous. Minor detail that's easy to fix.
