Haha this is a funny approach to the f-bomb idea. My only suggestion would be cleaning up the soldier. I'm guessing it came from a photo that you had to simplify for the limited 8 colors right? Maybe just outlining him would help if you don't feel like tracing over it in a vector program like illustrator or even drawing it yourself. Its just the left leg and the hands that get kind of washed out because of the color. But thats about it.

Hahaha this made me lol, love the expression on the soldier. I definitely love the idea, but I'd like to see you try the text bubble without the outline to tie the design together a little more cohesively (since the soldier is composed of blocks of color rather than outline).

hahahaha, I like the concept. I think you should definitely change the font, something blockier and bolder. And maybe making the F Bomb a little bigger. It looks like the soldier is dropping it on purpose with the way he's standing. Maybe he could be in a tripping motion. Nice work though. And thank you for the crit on my piece, I appreciate it.

i think just bending the "F" a little will add enough detail to the bomb, since it would look rounder... right now it's too flat. like Psyke said, try to solve the hand-color-issue and this is on a good way!

I'd just have him saying "Oh..." and the f-bomb is the clincher. And change the font, as others have said.

yeah just make the text a little nicer... maybe it would look better without the bubble all together? but i love the idea, and i agree with psyke you should outline the soldier, maybe a cool little background to tie it all together!! anyway great work!

funny idea...i just don't like the style of how the soldier is drawn...i'd like to see him more like how tenso does his characters...and the bomb could be more detailed...keep it up. :)

Maybe use a stencil type font like what’s used on U.S. Army gear.

I love it! What if instead of a bubble you just had a big "!" above his head, that would say it all.

i rekon if the f was changed to the light sand color instead of white (too strong) and the speach bubble was less "oval" but instead fitted the text better and was also the bright sand color maybe just an outlined bubble in sand and text in sand too, for more consistency in the composition

i'd use helvetica for the font. also the outline around the soldier bothers me, i'd try making the dark green black or just work on tweaking him a bit because he seems a little rushed/live traced.

fewer little color blocks all over. I don't think this needs them, they are distracting rather than dimensional. What about just the symbols and no "oh" that would make the bubble seem less centered with awkward spacing. F bomb seems like a cliche. I think if it where a flat image and a grenade then the soldier would seem proportionally correct in this situation. Those kinds of changed would mean the viewer can look at the image get the idea immediately and laugh instead of being put off by all the "wrong" proportions. (not wrong like you suck, just "not like real life") Good Luck!!

may work as is, but it could still be better

I really recommend thinking of some clever background. One light color that blends. Take a look at this for example: link. I tried to submit it without the bg first and luckily threadless did not accept it. Then I added the bg and it really did add a lot to the design (i hope they wil accept it now). Good luck to you. Its got potential.

I think it would be better if it was dropping out of a plane... maybe just me though.
