I agree about the poppy orange being a bit too much.
I think the drink could be more interesting , like something you would really want to drink but can't because of the umbrellas., Look through some photos of cocktails and the awesome layers of colours they have, and maybe some bubbles or something. curving up the side of the glass .
I didn't know the f-bomb was a 5 lettered word. Rather than just stuffing the drink with umbrelles, laden it with fruit and all the other types of things drinks get stuck on them. With just umbrellas, it's pretty boring.
Pretty clever idea. I think it does need some work however. Bring some of that highlighting you have on the stem of the glass into the top of the glass. Maybe do some highlighting on the large umbrella as well.
hi there, been takin a break from threadless for a while. Anyways, here it is with new layer, highlights on the umbrella and upper glass, bolder lines and a less obnoxious orange.
Yeah, I'll make that layer orange since it was not possible on the orange shirt color. I will also start working on making some little designs on each of the umbrellas.
I made the layer orange, changed the green a bit, and cleaned up some of the lines. I am also contemplating whether or not to put question marks on the large umbrella.
i actually like this the way it is. i don't think you need question marks on the umbrella, but you could always try it and see. if you wanted to incorporate some additional irony, you could always make it rain on your tropical drink and put that large umbrella to use.
but the bottom of the glass gets lost in the design, and your eyes are currently drawn directly to the big umbrella up top, and are constantly distracted by it.
How'dsit look without the big umbrella? I have a feeling it might be most balanced that way. Puddle is okay, but if you could make it look good without, that would be better.
Maybe have some of the liquid running down the glass as well so it leads to the puddle. I think this would work fine without the one big umbrella. It seems to be a little distracting to me. Make some of the smaller ones red for balance if you take it out. Funny idea!
Lose about half of those little umbrellas and add in pineapple slices, limewheels, cherries and maybe a chamelion. And consider losing the big umbrella and the puddle.
I will buy this if it's printed by the way, just to wear it so girls totally think I'm gay and then after talking about Laguna Beach, the Simple Life, and my passion for art we'll be BFF forever. And then I'll get them drunk and make out with them cause they won't see it coming! SURPRISE ATTACK!
The only problem with the straw is that it offers a viable solution to the problem of "how the fuck am I supposed to drink this?" Because the answer is "put the straw in it."
The straw gives more visual balance, but I don't think it offers a solution at least not a particular good one. I think one of those little umbrellers laying upside down next to the straw would add a little interest and balance up the bottom of the design which looks just a little bit empty. Or anything to busy-up the bottom section
