first time I'm using my illustrations for submission, any feedback or critique is appreciated.. trying to get over that dreaded 2.0 score...

have this idea of using shimmer gold for the wings and puff ink for all the black lines.. what do you guys think?

it's shown here on the light blue shirt.. but i think I might want it in white or silver grey

I really like that. Can't think much that would improve it. Maybe the placement could be slightly more towards the centre.

I tried it a bit more centered and it just kinda looked weird with the trees being under your chin..

it looks pretty cool! I like the placement. I'd definitely go with a light gray shirt - that baby blue just kills every design for me.

maybe some sort of detail on the trees? Such loving detail on the birds - the trees look a bit plain by comparison.

I'm not sure I'd go for the shimmering gold, but I like the Ink puff black. and keep the placement! and yeah the silver gray would be cool.

it's cool.. i like the shimmer and puff ink as well... but i think the trees are the only thing that didn't get the same amount of detailing time, so to make it more uniform, more flowing, perhaps do a bit more line work within the tree's green leafy area?

added some line work on the trees and changed the body color from red to brown.. hoping to come up with a title soon

heh, I think the trees are better now!!! one thing that bugs me a tiny bit is the eyes on the birds. those lines around the eye make it look as if the eye is on a stalk, like a snail's eye. Maybe do that a little differently? Otherwise I think it's coming along nicely!!

hmm.. yeah i can see what you mean about the eyes.. not quite sure what to do with them though..

I didnt notice the eyes being a little weird until someone said something about it. I feel like the detail on the body might be a bit much, maybe tone it down some on the wings too. Overall I like it

yeah, .. just a little difficult toning it down since it's all drawn in ink.. it's easier to add details than subtract...

I like it, and would leave it just the way it is!

you folks have any idea for titles? i'm open for suggestions...

Agree with celandinestern, maybe do some other thing on the eyes. Other than that is nice.

Maybe just put a circle around the eyes? I know what you mean about ink... more difficult to change! but I like the newer version, and I love the placement.
