I like the concept. If that's supposed to be Earth, it should look more like it. If it isn't, I think it should be. Also, the alien's head seems a bit lumpy for me, but I'm buying into the preconceived notion of what alien heads should look like.

Keep working on this, I think it'll do well...

Great concept, I agree with the prof about Earth. And perhaps the telescope on an alien planet shouldn't look exactly like an earth telescope.

perhaps make the alien less human? more legs? weirder face?

dacat - didn't you know that the telescope is actually alien technology, like velcro and the microwave oven..?

I like the style of the alien, and telescope. I agree about the earth, but it looks fine as is. I'd lose the dotted blue circle if I were you.

i like the idea behind your design, but i think that the circle should be thinner and the alien should look less traditional.

Haha, I like the alien a lot! His bulbous head really reminds me of one of the freakish FOX alien dissection specials!

My only suggestion would be, what about making the planet he's seeing more recognizable as Earth?

I agree, a more recognizable earth is needed. I like the alien as is. The telescope needs some work, more details and cleaner.
