It took me a little bit to realize they were butterflies, how many do you have in mind?

Well. it didn't take that long, i think I started trying to figure out the titles underneath before I took it all in. It's a great idea!

Thanks. I have to adjust the shadow's beneath the nametags, they got out of hand in the CMYK to RGB transition.

I really like the idea! They are very similar though...I actually had to go back and look to see that they aren't exactly the same! I do think different colored frames would work nicely for fixing that!



Any thoughts on Geek Monster?

I think its a great idea I just don't think its interesting enough. I think you should illustrate them and add little details that make them look more like butterflies because at first glance I didn't get it and that's important in a t-shirt. This could be an amazing design but I definitely wouldn't buy it how it is now.

But if I didn't see "genus" or other words I didn't know existed, I wouldn't think they were butterflies.

The names are plays on famous geeks. No one seems to have caught that. Maybe they're too geeky?

yeah! gene roddenberry and gary gygax, i think it's a very smart idea, maybe for the forst you can do a star trek motif someplace and a video game motif for the second, nothing to obvious

maybe add common, layman (identifiable as butterfly) names to the labels as well other than just the scientific names? and maybe u can play more on the famous geeks' names as well on the common names.. um, "gray moth" or something maybe?

Do you think "Gray Gygax" would work? A play on the color name and Gary Gygax?

how about "Gray Gyrax Moth" and uh... "Roddenberous Butterfly"?

nice! I recognized it as a butterfly right away. I think the name tag could be something else, can't quite think of anything good right now.

I had an idea...



the colors are UV reactive ink, so inside, it's just the glasses, and outside, the butterfly pattern appears.



One question though (threadless staff or screen printing masters) can UV reactive ink be printed in simulated process?

My impression of the UV ink is that it's really best as a solid color, and it definitely cannot be printed on top of anything else. I got the butterfly immediately, though, and I think that UV ink is unnecessary here, another thing that would keep this from being printed. I would just focus on the name, and getting rid of those glaring reflections on the lens.



I would love a comment/score on my sub and don't forget to playguess the score!

it makes more sense within the context of the butterfly image, otherwise your like "why have a couple of glasses form a butterfly?"

I think I prefer V2 but either way it's a cool design. Very different from the rest of the geek tees!
