I had this in the regular competition and it was eliminated in one day. Which is cool, but I'd like more feedback as to what isn't working- I only got one comment that had any content to it at all, which was pretty disappointing.

Please let me know what doesn't work about this.

What is the tennis shoe riding, a boot? Cause it is really hard to tell. Also I don't like clothes with shoes on them and the colors are really muddy.

I liked this. I thought it would do better than it did. I'm not sure what to say about it though. Maybe a change of shoes styles is in order, bust out a Doc Martyn or something.

The colours are a little dull too I think. That could be the shirt colour though.

I really like the idea...I think maybe it is that the upside down boot doesn't read quickly enough as a boot...the more I stare at it also, the facial features remind me of a camel for some reason. I know what you're trying to pull out of this and I think you did fairly well in not compromising the boot too much for the "horse"...nevertheless it is maybe not reading quickly enough as either?? I always hate it when people tell me impractical changes to make or ones that I already ruled out...so hope this isn't doing the same...but could you put some kind of faint stitching to make them look like cowboy boots? Maybe work the pattern into a horse's mane somehow? use fringe also? Is there any way to put more of a heel on the boot and work it into part of a horse, maybe ears? I'm being really random in my ideas, so if they don't work that's understandable:)

Thanks for your comments on my School of Bass, I just uploaded v3 if you want to check it out

Definitely some good advice, everybody. It's hugely appreciated. If/when I revisit this in the future, I'm definitely going take y'all's advice.

The lack of a heel on the boot is a bit odd.

Also, that shoe looks like like a converse to me, which means that it comes up over the ankle. Is that part of the shoe just being smushed? Also, how is the shoe staying up?

The cowboy boot doesnt look enough like a boot- I thought it was part of a saddle- (the part that hangs down right before the stirrup.

but otherwise I like this. Colors might need to be a bit brighter.

the boot does need a heel.

i'd lose the hat off the tennis shoe, and place it on a shirt other than brown.

i like the tennis shoe alot- especially the mustache laces

opps left out time... :) i meant to say i had a hard time figuring... sorry.. is late... another suggestion is adding another color might spice up the shirt. i think its a cute idea, love the handlebar mustache.... also the shoe is more cartoonish and the boot looks less like that...
