She looks scared, maybe a different mouth? I'd like to see it lower on the shirt as well. Cute kids shirt

add some shadows to the characters, and really liven up the linework. Some line variations would really help. Great work so far!

I like the idea, but it needs some kind of shading. just something to make it less simple.

I think it looks fine w/o shading, but maybe some bubbles or something to indicate water, i know its kind of assumed, but i think it would look good.



Agree about changing the female's expression, less worry more happy shocked.

I like the idea of shading, but I don't think it is at all necessary, depending on the style you are going for, what you have now works just fine. I would suggest one thing that would really make this design pop, which is what it needs.



Try making their tentacles spread out more, in general, and especially those forming the heart. I think it would be great if the tentacles that form the heart formed it higher, like right about where their faces are (or slightly below) because the way it is now the heart doesn't seem to be the focale point and the characters are a little static feeling. Great idea and design though, a little work and I would totally buy this :D

I agree the expression on the female's face needs to change, maybe have her blushing? And some line variations would make a huge difference as well as the size of the placement.

I like the simplicity of this, although I agree about the females face, needs to look less worried! Good for kids tee.

Changed the female's mouth and added some shading. Fixed some minor details.



Also changed the placement on the shirt. Give your opinion on where it should be (top, middle or bottom). See v1 for a non-shaded version, and tell us which looks better!

Shaded looks better, and the placement is fine.



It would be nice if you could move the tentacles on the right and left of the heart to make the heart more of a heart-shape.



Other than that, it's great!

i like it. shading was a good addition. have you tried not filling in the heart to see if the darker blue is necessary? have you thought of using ink to fill the heart?… that last one might come off as too sexual though.

is this a KIDs tee?

Does it matter if it's a kids tee? I'd say it could be worn by anyone.

Really nice design! The only thing I notice has already been said, the tentacles should form more of a traditional curved heart shape.

They look like the barbapappa's. Nice idea but maybe some more depth. Its personal, but i like line art to have very hard lines, instead of sketch like lines. Maybe nice to have a detailed part shown also, so we can look at that. Maybe the background a lighter color that the heart, so that where they connect the heart pops out more....

Nice illustration. I like the shading better, how about adding shading to the hat, bow and eyes? If you could make the heart shape more "heart shaped" by curving the tentacles on the left and right for a more rounded shape and the get rid of the dark blue fill in the heart shape I think it would be ready. The facial expressions are good.

The shading actually does make it look much better, but i position the heart higher and make it more curved, like a traditional heart. and in doing that I would also probably make the other tentacles a little less static.

I like it with the shading. Could the heart be a bit more prominent though?

what if you stylized it up a bit? right now they're a bit flat on the page. like, raised their tentacles a bit or added a bit more curve to their heads? just make them a bit more dynamic in some way?

Because the color is different where the tentacles are forming the heart, to me it looks like that might mean they're supposed to be forming a whole in the shirt and maybe the stomach?? I know that wasn't the intention...but its something I see when I look at it. I think its cause the heart is a darker blue that it makes it look a little odd and the fact that they are forming that heart on the stomach area and not the heart area makes it seem even more odd. Oh also! maybe try putting them at a different angle to make it look more like they are under water? Keep at it! :)

perhaps place it a bit higher. i think the size is fine. also, i'd try taking the color out from between the tentacles and maybe have the tentacles wrap around each other, like they are holding hands.. err... tentacles.

really cute! you could add some bubbles to give it an underwater look. and what adding some ink? like the dark blue you used for the heart and a darker rose blending into each other at the middle of the heart (loosely forming a heart, too).

now that i think about it, my idea sounds like a lot of work :P

but maybe you can give it a try :)
