This is my first design for threadless. I was possibly thinking of doing it as white on black. Thoughts?

I really like this, although I'd like to see it on other colours- what about purple or green? It would be also good to see it as white on black just to compare.

AWESOME image! Has a very Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors) feel to it...



I think you need to think about colour.... Maybe just play with a few extra colours to highlight aspects of the image.



Also, you may like to play around with t-shirt textures for presentation purposes....

Haha this is wicked. I like it. I think minimal colour would make it pop just that much more. like choose one or 2 colors and only colour a few objects in that/those colours. this is well illustrated. well done

It's working quite well now, it's very clear and the design pops and the colors contrast nicely. The improvement is clear.

I love the drawing.. but I prefer the first version..

I think the black lines are a bit to strong, maybe if you made them a darker shade of the shirt colour and then played with the colour balance on the other colours to make them more coherent.

Oh and if you could come by and critique mine that would be cool.

I really like this design alot, but i must say i thought the second version was the best in terms of colour. i like the idea of alot of black and white and grey, and then some red on the lips. This seems best to me.

Out of all these versions I prefer the initial black & white version;

the colours seem to date it.

Concept wise, I've always thought of graffiti as the voice of the city; or more eloquently 'graffiti is the message the city writes to itself.'

if you're leaning towards v3 and v4, maybe not leave out the bottom like that, maybe fade it out or put the design at the very bottom of the shirt past the dash lines.

Hi all, Know its been a while. Been really busy. I'm still not sure about colour so am still experimenting. Hopefully will have something up soon. In the mean time any more feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

agree with jacopo: this looks much better in black & white.

you need to come up with better colors / a different shirt color to make the colored version look as good as the monochromatic ;)

The first version is my favorite, I feel like all the colors on a colored t are almost overwhelming. Maybe do the design a slightly lighter shade of the shirt or a slightly darker shade. I'm a bigger fan of subtle colors.
