Cigammon - thought about a mohawk, but the mullet was just too hard to pass up..



I'm going to make the type bigger because I agree..it's hard to read. Any suggestions on placement? 26 of anything is hard to put into rows. This was the best solution I could come up with, but I'm open to moving hairdos around!

The cursive is cute, but with so many words it would probably be better to go with print.

please increase the word size, i also can't read a couple. and you can easily make the liberty spikes into a mohawk. L is right next to M anyways, so why not share? i guess the M has competition in the hair world.

i like it so much, maybe it would be better if the text be more readable, anyway its cool, so naive

i was forgetting... :P

this is great. yeah, like anybody else has suggested change the lettering to a more readable one. Also, experiment with colors. i kinda wanna see all the different styles of hair in addition to these, even if their beginning letters are the same. even if they continue to the back of the shirt.

Cursive definitely gives it part of its charm, but a few of them are pretty hard to read, but don't go too big!! As for placement, maybe toss out the tight grid, and instead lay them out in order, but askew, so it almost looks random (but isn't).

Just realized that I misspelled "induction" for I. I'll fix that for the next version.

i really like this! the text is a good size. and making it bigger would mean having to spread out the faces more to make room.



i also like the color choice. it has a post-it note feel to it.

yeah i think the yellow's more appealing, this one's a bit cold. it looks good. unless you drastically change the typeface i don't think it's going to get much different. would like to see it placed on a shirt.

Yes, contrast is low on the red on yellow. I think Brown on Yellow would Be nice, too, but with Blue its special.

Okay, this is almost my last critique...I promise. I just wanted to get a final vote on color. I know, didn't I do that already? Someone suggested a yellow/brown combination, so I wanted to include that. I would love to hear which you think works best. Whatever combination gets the most votes will be what I submit. if your using photoshop, delete all hidden layers if you have them, then under Layers click on flatten image. after that under image click on image size, put 300 on resolution and change the width to 640 and height to 800. after that save it.

Here's the Flash template I am planning to submit. Does it look okay?

hmm, the only thin i dislike isn't really the design of the shirt but the template.

if you can, i'd replace the threadless template shirt with a "real" shirt from the threadless flickr group - i think they look a lot better and really make a difference to the submission.

three pages also feels unnecessary - you could have one page with the design on it, and one page with the shirt and the girl modelling it



please note that i'm picking here though - this is a great design, really clever. i just want it to look it's best when it gets subbed.

I personally liked the color combo, but since the majority seem to dislike it, I'd try making it white on light blue, or blue on white (Definitely keep the blue incorporated, whatever way you go though - it fits the retro theme your font/cartoons have going on.)



I also kind of feel like you left out a few crucial hairstyles - no mohawk?! or Fauxhawk for that matter?!

I would simplify the handwriting a bit, and would consider adding some more hair styles, straighten the line size a bit and make this design into a HUGE ALL OVER BELT PRINTING thing...

To make things stand out more, turn what you currently have into one color line (like black) and then fill everything in with color. I'd use some pretty bright coloring too! I say you can sub this, but add colors, maybe not for the faces but yes for the hair, color would be great.

The typo is nice, but I think if you use a different typo it would be easier to read the hair styles names.

This is it! I'm going to send this one in!!

i am really liking this. i dont think any color to the hair would be necessary. i think it might actually ruin it. however having just three heads up top and three on the bottom really distracts my attention. i think you should come up with four more hairstyles, or try to even up the rows by changing the placement. might even want to put in a pair of scissors, a comb, a blow dryer and some gel in the four corners instead. idk, just throwing things out there.

It doesn't seem to change much in each version. I guess you decided not to use more colors. What you need to do is just submit it, and have a couple different color options in the submitted design.
