Finally had some time to work on a new design. Critiques and comments most welcome - and particularly any suggestions on how to 80's it up even more!

It looks very Donkey Kong already and with the Vans on it's very 80's as it is. Make sure the sunglasses have that oily tint to them like Oakley Frogskins did back in the day. Nice start.

Ooooh, that's killer! I wouldn't wear, it's not my style, but I know that people would LOVE this, man. Good on you. I can't wait to see the finished product! I got my eyes on this.

Ha, the coke nose may be crossing the line, but that's a hilarious suggestion

You nose it makes sense. And also, you should look into working the chessboard pattern in somewhere (the shoes might have it already, hard to tell) that was all over the 80s, what with 2-tone ska and breakdancing linoleum.

Fingerless glove on one of the hands? probably best the back hand so it doesn't distract from the kindap'd maiden too much.

Half tone colors and pattern would look sweet with this. But if you add color keep it a minimum, like only color the ape and the girl if you do.

First round of flat colors with some added building details. Layered colors and more detail on the way.

Details and colors added to the main characters. Still need to put in people and some graffiti. Any other suggestions?

It obviously is influenced by King Kong, so maybe put a biwing or something above his shoulder.
Just a thought. :D

A motion lines behind King Kong, as the manga comics, give more movement.
