ha! great solution! my only suggestion would be to change the turtle's legs a bit so that it looks as if it's running it looks a tad static right now

This is pretty cool, other than a subtle background mentioned above, some of that light blue color of dots in the snails eyes, like you did with the turtle.

all i'd say is maybe make the drawing itself a little less rough, and maybe tone down the ground details a bit. i don't know, it seems a little busy, if you know what i mean.
