Billion,
A friendly head’s up; Consider that artists who sub their designs have just 7 days for it to be commented and voted on. I know they, and maybe you too, would expect everyone’s attention to be focused on their entry. It’s understandable then, that someone else trying to use an artist’s score page to solicit attention to his/her work is considered by many here to be disrespectful. So, leaving an address or link to one’s own work on another artist’s scoring page, (it’s acceptable in the critique section), is not the right thing to do. Put another way, it’s the equivalent of a painter walking into another artist’s show and telling people to visit his/her show down the block. Also, doing this is more likely to cause people to avoid your sub and make you somewhat unpopular with many of the artists on threadless. I hope you understand. As far as your design goes, as agrimony pointed out, type fonts are not usually appreciated here. Maybe try hand lettering it or make up your own font and/or alter an existing font. Another dislike here is the repetition of the same exact object, commonly called, "copy and paste" or C & V". Some criticize it for its lack of variety, saying it's boring. Others say it's lazy. The same goes for mirror images like your 2 birds. Just change one bird a bit so you avoid criticism. White tees are also unpopular it seems. I've seen many peeps complain that they stain too easily, gray after washing, makes them look fat, they're too vanilla and looks like something you'd get at a gift shop or Wal-Mart, a decal or iron-on look. So, try some other tee colors or at least offer an alternate. lastly I'll say that you're idea is OK but could be stronger if you contrast the cute/happy/loving birds with a not so cute/unexpected message. Like "Go To Hell" or something like that. Anyway, good start, keep at it. Cheers! much better tees and models here |
